Grease the Gnome…

Last night’s Mole II episode featured Heather “greasing the gnome” and everyone on the show was sniggering about it, especially the personable former news correspondent Anderson Cooper. Frankly, I was, too! I asked around the room and at work the next day if “greasing the gnome” was a known euphemism for anything. Although I had my in-the-gutter suspicions, nobody knew anything concrete.

So, I did some research of my own:

  • grease the grail = máštûrbátë
  • grease the grouse = máštûrbátë
  • grease the machine = go number two
  • grease the monkey = máštûrbátë
  • grease the palms = bribe
  • grease the pipe = máštûrbátë
  • grease the pole = máštûrbátë
  • grease the skids = speed up
  • grease the track = jump in front of a train
  • grease the wheel = get drunk, or soothe, or have sex
  • Grease: the Musical = a campy 50’s-style musical
  • Grease: the Movie = a campy 50’s-style musical made into a movie
  • grease the weasel = mingle, or máštûrbátë
  • grease your chops = eat

Nothing else. No “grease the gnome”. Ideas, anyone? Other than the obvious máštûrbátìøn potential?

Note: Speaking of sex and máštûrbátìøn, for some reason my site is no longer the fourth result when searching Google for “stephanie adams”. Ðámn! I wonder why it dropped to 50-something. And, *sniff*, my site is no longer the first site that comes up with the infamous “richard has bøøbš” search. Oh, well…
