I Love Server Logs…

If you know what to look for, you can find some really interesting facts on the Internet:

The top search term used to find the Ohio State University Department of Computer and Information Science website in October 2001 was “suicide”.

If I were to visit Professor David Gosman’s CFD research group at the Thermofluids section of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, England I might expect the top searches in October 2001 to include “cardiovascular cfd” and “computational fluid dynamics”. So how did “my wife with her lover pictures” become the 17th most popular search term?

Washington University in St. Louis must have an interesting curriculum based on the fact the two of the top three referring search terms in May 2002 were “spiderman” and “donald duck”.

For Texas Tech University, the fourth most popular search term drawing visitors to the site in November 2000 was “how to have sex”.

Isn’t that the ONLY reason to go to college?! *grin*
