I’ve Just Been Busy…
It’s been a whirlwind of activity around here:
I went on an over-eight-mile hike on Monday, half all uphill and the other half all downhill. I thought my body would pay for it, and it still is; everything from my toes (from my hiking boots) to my shoulders (from carrying a backpack full of Gatorade and lemonade. Great to get outdoors, though! It was pitch-black when I was still heading down the mountain at 8:30 p.m.!
Yesterday was a trip to Glenn County (200 miles away!), looking for more real estate to purchase. A few promising looking places, but I’m not counting any chickens there. A few goats and cows, though! I’ll find out more after conducting some additional research tomorrow.
Today, I got the results of my notary exam: 96%! When I arrived back home from taking the exam a couple of weekends ago, I knew that I had a few questions on the test of which I was unsure. Of the four problems that I could remember verbatim that I questioned my answers, three ended up being correct, and the fourth I had answered incorrectly. Turns out that that was the only one I got wrong! I spent the afternoon trying to complete the next stage, the live scan, but the facility that advertised walk-in appointments announced that walk-ins were discontinued immediately until further notice, based on a sign that they had posted on the window which, of course, I only discovered by actually driving 45 minutes to get there! Spent an hour or so contacting other facilities on the phone to no avail, and then just went home.
And, did you see the length of the last blog?! They don’t write themselves, you know?! So I haven’t spent tons of time sitting at my computer the last few days to write a new one… Hard to write blogs without sitting at my computer. Sorry, y’all!
