September 11th…

I just wish I could forget… but I can’t… I’m not allowed…

I had managed over the past year to block the images of falling human bodies, those who made the incredible decision that leaping 100 stories to the concrete below gave them a BETTER chance of survival.

I had managed to block the images of airplanes relentlessly crashing into what became living tombs, the images of thousands of bodies simultaneously crushed to a plasmodic pulp, the images of the 48 people in the Bay Area whose lives ended so tragically that fateful day…

You dámn media! Are you satisfied with the results of your ratings game? I hope so. Right now, I hate you.

That’s all. I swore I wasn’t going to write anything today…

    True. However, I attempted to avoid the obvious channels and shows. But even what I thought might have been safe, shows like Family Feud, were interspersed with images of the catastrophe, a tactic I do not think fair. Next year, I think I’ll just leave the television off. - RDL
