Save Karyn…
A 29-year-old television producer named Karyn Bosnak received more than $13,000 in aid from hundreds of charitable donors, the result of her pioneering efforts in Internet panhandling.
In her case, the recent end of the financial boom hadn’t quite hit. Her transition from Chicago to New York to take a new job on a courtroom reality show found her in an expensive Manhattan apartment, living too close to the temptation of the glitz and glamor of the nearby department stores, the sultry whispers of New York City living: $500 Gucci handbags, $600 Prada shoes, $150 trips to the hair salon. It was inconceivable to her that the boom would turn bust.
After the show was canceled and she lost her job, she moved to more modest surroundings and curtailed the spending. Too late and $20,000 in debt, she turned to the generosity of the world via the Internet. Less than four months later, thanks to the donations she received, a new lower-paying job, and the auction sale of many of the expensive purchases she had made, she’s now back on her feet.
Much better than the $0.17 I’ve amassed so far from The No-Trash Cash-Stash Cache, eh?!
Here is a woman that deserved to be saved. You be the judge Adopting Alexandria: I was searching the internet for those pay me a dollar site the other night looking to get some fun and free entertainment when I came across Adopting Alexandria at http://www.sevensisters.ca. She appeared to be a genuine person free of selfish motives and her desire for justice through education where honourable so after some more research on the net I found all of what she said to be true. Since she has given her full name, which tells me she is not embarrassed to be who she is or doing what she is doing so I Adopted her and donated to her cause. I have to have respect for someone who puts their name and face out for a good cause. After all there are no strangers in the world only lots of people we haven’t met yet. So why should we get so tied up when they ask for a dollar or two. Here is the short version of her site.” In 1998 Alexandria Nicole was wrongfully arrested by American Police. She was beaten, striped naked and photographed in an effort to coerce a confession. Detained for another two year, one month and 17 days she now needs your help. Would you consider helping this woman out by viewing more information on the first page of her website. If you are interested please read more and provide what ever assistance you can offer. http://www.sevensisters.ca “
I read the comments by Elizabeth above and then checked out the site and well I checked out all the sites on the internet and although so many people need help, this Alex person seems to have suffered a lot as a result of our prejudice and ignorance. I logged onto http://www.sevensisters.ca and adopted alexandria by donating to her and hope others do as well.. Good luck Alexandria
I’m a single mother of a young child. I work forty-hours a week, and I’m paid rather “well” for the area of Wisconsin that I live in. Unfortunately, I’m in debt. Karyn and I have something in common. However, I’m twenty-three. I also am aware that “bagging” others to pay off my debt is wrong, but I’m asking for HELP with the debt, not for you to PAY IT OFF. I’m way over $3,000.00 in debt, but I’m asking for about $1,800.00 which will take me out of the NEGATIVE debt zone I’m currently in. Check out my site. My site is funny, artistic (see my poetry section), and truthful. Thanks. -Mary
