A True Master of the Web…
Or maybe even a slave to it…
I’m in the middle of one of the worst tax seasons I’ve ever had. Despite making much less than half of normal, it looks like I’m going to have to fork over some pocket change to the IRS, all thanks to that nasty bìtçh called self-employment tax. Under the Bush administration, if you make less money, you have to pay more. Seems fair, right?! *sigh*
So, anyway, I’m racking my brains to come up with every possible deduction. As I’m adding some section 179 expenses, I needed to clear off a few business assets that have been needlessly carrying over from year to year because I had forgotten to properly account for their disposal within TurboTax.
I couldn’t remember when I broke my Palm V (used 100% for business, of course!), ending its business use life. Knowing that I had the information on one of my myriad websites, I actually had to resort to Googling for the information.
Seconds, man, seconds…
Of course, I found the data about moi that I needed. Google has apparently become my own personal file cabinet! It seems so funny to me that if I forgot what I had for breakfast last October 17, I can just Google for it!
Can you found out such mundane data about yourself online? Probably not.
Ah, the power of the blog…
