Today’s Geo Quiz…
In what is perhaps a feeble effort to increase my daughter’s previously nonexistent enthusiasm for geography (a class she is currently failing), I recently implemented a second family “tradition” where I attempt to serve food from a region either the class is studying or relates to a passing holiday. Everyone then gets to guess the country.
For example, we’ve recently had Cuban stew for dinner, a St. Patrick’s Day Irish dessert night (that unfortunately failed miserably), and a very successful Moroccan chicken soup. My large Israeli Passover meal was… well… passed over at the last minute mainly because I didn’t have time to cook thanks to a late evening loan document signing appointment. We had pizza instead. I still have to figure out what to do with all that Matzo!
