Alternative to about:blank…
In a shameless plug to earn a few extra bucks each month, I ask that anyone who normally sets their default home page to about:blank, to the main Google search page, or to another search engine to please change it to rdlnational.com/google/ instead. This simple page adds tremendous value: it’s about as simple as the about:blank page but returns the entire contents of Google with one click. It’s also 800% smaller and therefore more responsive than the standard Google home page, mainly because of the reduction of text and graphics.
To reassure those rightfully faint of heart, I pledge that there will never be ads, more graphics, popups, adware, or spyware on the page, and control of the search results will always be handled by Google. There is no filtering or redirection, and I can’t even track what you’re searching for.
Spread the word and abolish the about:blank everywhere you see it!
http://www.anglia-models.co.uk/books-ab2002.htm It’s what I get when I put richards ramblings in the Google gox on my new default home page. So that’s why there’s been such fewer blog entries here of late. You’ve been busy writing about old cars!
So when do you make your money exactly? When the page loads? When a search is done from it? Just want to know how to maximize your earnings!
My educated guess is that I would earn advertising dollars when Google earns advertising dollars, presumably when an advertiser is clicked upon on the subsequent results page. Not, of course, that I am advocating or endorsing any particular methods that might be perceived as an effort to maximize my earnings. Just surf and click as you normally would, the only difference being the starting place of your online searching. - RDL
