TiVo Codes…

I live and breathe TiVo now, and can’t understand how I lived without it for so many years. Even though I decided to upgrade our TiVo with a larger hard drive a few months ago, I can’t get myself to try some of the potentially destructive backdoor codes. That said, there are a few less-risky codes I regularly use:

  • Select, Play, Select, 9, Select — add clock to bottom righthand corner.
  • Select, Play, Select, Pause, Select — make progress bar go away faster.
  • Up, Down, Up, 7, 8 — shows Now Playing List details (v6.2 only).

I figured if I didn’t jot it down here, I’d forget about it!

    Over a month now between blog entries, and all we get are 4 sentences? We, your loyal readers, look back fondly to the days of Wake Island, Donut Museums, junk faxes and even updates on SA. sigh It’s enough to make us want to go poke someone.
