OK, this hasn’t hit any news wires yet. Remember, you heard it here first!! Cassie Johnson, the skip (captain) for the US Olympic curling team, got engaged while in Florence, Italy on February 28th to her boyfriend Corrie Potter! Considering they’ve been back to the US since Tuesday night, March 7th, I’m surprised the wires haven’t picked it up yet — especially considering how popular the Johnson sisters have made the sport of curling.
While all of the CurlGirls helped make curling a household term, it is overwhelmingly Cassie who has helped draw 178,000 hits to the website. Judging by the number of “solicitations” from members of the less-fair gender, a lot of hopeful guys will be highly disappointed by the news.
Congratulations, Corrie and Cassie! Ummm, you’re not going to name any son you might have as Harry, right?
