It Pays to Dig for Good Prices…
My 1996 Saturn SL2 needs a new EGR valve (OEM #21006601) which is apparently fairly easy to install, so I figured I’d do it myself. Of course, the first step was to shop around. I was quite surprised by the range of prices and decided to share my findings. Prices listed are for parts only.
- Local Saturn dealership: $180.00
- NAPA: $149.00
- AutoZone: $147.99
- Auto Parts Warehouse: $141.95
- CarParts: $139.99 (free shipping)
- Kragen: $130.99 (free shipping)
- Buy Auto Parts: $130.60
- RockAuto: $117.79
- Auto Parts Giant: $95.35 (free shipping)
Can you guess the company from which I bought my parts?! Hint: I spent less than a hundred bucks.
Sorry… This has nothing to do with your post… But somehow I happened to come across you “life goal” list (display) and was wondering where you got that from… If you could direct me to where you pick that up at I would greatly appreciate it. It’s pretty awesome. Thanks for the time. Jeff
Oddly, that tends to be quite a popular page. That’s all hand-coded with old-fashioned HTML, not based on any other design, and not with any special add-ins or plug-ins. Perhaps I should create an easy tool for others someday…
