When you view the Network Map on Windows Vista, you can’t see Windows XP computers on the network diagram. But Microsoft says Vista is not to blame.

This procedure is one I always forget. Many packages don’t have the appropriate install information within, and I frequently have to look up this very simple six-step list of instructions:
tar -xzvf whatver.tar.gz
perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
su
make install
