Vista Can Not See XP Computers…

When you view the Network Map on Windows Vista, you can’t see Windows XP computers on the network diagram. But Microsoft says Vista is not to blame.

Reporting Errors to Microsoft…

Who in their right minds wants Microsoft full access to whatever information they choose to send to themselves when you accidentally click on the box that pops up wanting you to report an application error or system crash to Microsoft? Not me! I personally find screaming an obscenity at the offending application much more therapeutic [...]

Windows XP and ZIP Files…

Manifest Parse Error…

You receive message that says “Manifest Parse error: Invalid at top level of document” when installing a new copy of Windows XP, and the installation stops because it cannot parse CONTROLS.MAN. What do you do?

Monkeysoft…

There are days when I just don’t like Microsoft. There are days when I hate Microsoft. And then there are days like today when words utterly fail me. What the $#^%$@#$ is wrong with Microsoft?!!

Microsoft is Everywhere…

I’m not exactly someone you’d think of as pro-Microsoft; I’m sure that’s no surprise. Yet, unfortunately, I can’t afford to be totally anti-Microsoft, either — it’s just way too pervasive in our lives today to avoid altogether.
